Tasks for the first evaluation period

Hi again!
You have received a summary of the "programación" for this year. Among other things, you can read there the evaluation and the marking criteria. Please make sure you understand and know them very well.

We remind you here of the tasks you have to carry on before December:
  • Introduce yourself : say your name and age. Give a short description of your appearence and your character. Talk about your likes and dislikes. Talk about the personal project you have chosen for this term and how you are going to do it.  You can record this task here . Follow the instructions on the page to join in so that you have access to the discussion line.
  • Survival Kit: You have to make a Power Point presentation with ten basic words or phrases in English and in Spanish you have previosly agreed with your teacher. We'll show your PPPs (powerPoint Presentations) in this blog. Then, you'll decide how we can organise them so as to make a "survival kit / Diccionario de supervivencia" you can use when you travel abroad or have to communicate with somebody in English
  • Project work: Choose one topic you like and prepare a 3 minute presentation of it. You can use Power Point to illustrate your presentation. Your PPPs (powerPoint Presentations) will be published in this blog so that everybody can enjoy and share the work you have done. Also use the handout and instructions your teacher has given you in class to prepare the presentation of your project (click here for a copy). Be ready to evaluate your own project and that of your classmates with the help of the grid your teacher will give you.
  • Situational dialogue: Prepare a dialogue with one or two more classmates in a situation of your choice. Make sure to include expressions of : greetings; opinions; agreement/disagreement and  suggestions (making them and accepting /refusing them). Each person should have between ten and fifteen lines in the dialogue.
Remember that there will also be a vocabulary exam, a listening exam and a dictation.

We are sure you are all going to do your best and pass. Remember to ask your teacher for help any time you need it.

Good luck!
